Why am I smiling?
The biggest smile I have to give goes to my precious Father in Heaven,
my Savior Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. He has poured out immeasurable
blessings over my life and also allows me to see Him transform the lives
of His children right before my eyes through prayer and His unlimited
heart of love for those that come to Him. Being on the Healing
Rooms team and His Father’s Love ministry at Sugar Hill United Methodist
Church, allows me to see people experience a tangible
outpouring
of His love to their hearts. The only way I can think to explain it is
living constant moments of Psalm 18:16: “He reached down from on high
and took hold of me."
There
just are not enough smiles to cover the joy of seeing Him work on others
behalf and on my behalf each and every day bringing healing and
restoration to all things. I smile about the way I see Him orchestrate
using my business for His plans. I own Heaven’s Here Floral Design
and Gift Baskets. We pray blessings over each item that leaves the
shop, whether it is a hospital basket, condolence orders, a gift for a
special someone, or a business sending a “thank you” to their clients.
He has even brought me into the ICU units telling me, “continue, I have
prepared the way”, to get prayer to those who are crying out to Him. We
receive orders from the medical, dental, mortgage and real estate
companies, and many individuals. There are virtually no limitations in
where He chooses to bring us and smiles adorn the miles of paths He has
taken us on this wonderful adventure. The business is His and the
adventure is ours! His Way always keeps our eyes above the circumstances
bringing our gaze beyond the horizon into His limitless love and
healing. I smile knowing that He redefine’s life as we know it to life
as He gives it. He is asking us to come and receive.
The
difference in my confidence since Dr. Williams completed major dental
work for me has been just amazing. My teeth were very crooked and
terribly discolored because of frequent childhood illness and being hit
in the mouth with a baseball. I was so self-conscious of my mouth that
I would either try to hide my smile with my hands, or try to keep my
lips tight when I laughed so my teeth could not be seen. My gums were
also very unhealthy due to very old fillings and crowns.
I
remember watching the 3 and 4 yr. olds in the nursery at my church and
the little ones being brutally honest as they asked me; “Why are your
teeth all different colors, don’t you ever brush them?” They didn’t
know any better, but it was quite a blow to my self-confidence that
Sunday morning!
After
my cosmetic make-over, one of the unexpected surprises for me was
actually being healthy! Because my gums had been unhealthy, I would get
sick with upper respiratory infections and bronchitis about every three
months. Since Dr. Williams gave me a healthy mouth I haven’t been sick
in over a year. I did not realize this would be a benefit of having my
teeth done. It has been wonderful to receive such a drastic improvement
in my overall health and energy.
In so
many ways the benefits after the dental work have so far exceeded any
expectations I could ever have imagined. My new smile has brought a new
measure of peace into my life. I did not realize that I was so self
conscious of how my teeth looked. Those thoughts were constantly on my
mind. Even at a sub-conscious level I was very aware of my discolored
teeth and hiding them. Smiling without being self-conscious has brought
a level of peace and freedom that I have not known for years.
I
remember the feeling of such tremendous joy when I walked out of the
office from my first visit, with the new temporaries in place. I had
not had a beautiful white smile in so many years. I was so excited
about the preview of my white smile that I was trying to get into the
wrong car in the parking lot! When I was laughing at myself it was the
biggest smile I had ever shown and I have not stopped smiling since.
Words
just cannot describe adequately the deep gratitude I feel towards Dr.
Williams and his wife Sheila. I love being a walking advertisement for
Suwanee Dental and smile any chance I get. I look for reasons to smile
now. With so much going on in the world today there are still so many
reasons to smile and I want to share mine with everyone. I now have a
smile ministry! Some of my biggest smiles occur when I have time for my
favorite hobbies like photography and fly fishing. I tell my
girlfriends you haven’t lived till you are a female in waders! I
especially look forward to the next time I can fly fish down the Bow
River in Alberta, Canada. The sparkling gleam of my smile may scare the
trout away!
Blessings to all. Dr. Williams, Thank You for excelling in all you put
your heart to, you are a blessing to many.
