Consider the European System of
orthopedic development of the lower
jaw
We routinely utilize the Bionator/Orthopedic Corrector
and Twin Block or Herbst Systems to "grow" the lower jaw into a more ideal relationship with the
upper jaw. Sometimes teeth need to be removed. At times, there is no
need to remove teeth other than wisdom teeth. Braces are used simultaneously
or following the orthopedic phase of growth and development in most cases.
There is usually less time in braces with less gum irritation, less
chance of tooth scarring, and the results are usually more stable for the
long term.
