The 2004 view from
school, looking back down the road back at the new town of
Olmekenyu. None of these buildings was built prior to the
construction of Mercy Clinic. The clinic has spurred growth,
hope and jobs. As a matter of fact, the District Commissioner
called this region the "Forgotten People" because no
paved roads go into the area and not even dirt roads exist
past this school setting.
