Dr. Williams greeted by the Narok District Director as we deliver needed hospital supplies

Missionary Table in Narok
Narok is a staging point for many missionary groups and this hotel is the focal point of their activities. Here are Karin( the dental assistant from our group), the local pastor of the church at Telac, Marigold and Michael (long time missionaries from the Church of God to Kenya, John, our friend and guide from Marijo, Brad Williams of Kenya Mecical Outreach, Inc., and Bill from the USA.

Out front of the hotel in Narok we loaded up the Land Cruiser for our journey into the mountains to Olmekenyu and Mercy Medical-Dental Clinic

Narok Hospital serves as the regional medical / dental center. In the hospital there is one dental operatory. When we arrived, there was no dental hand piece in good repair and the vacuum system was inoperable.

At the Narok Hospital dental clinic (left), the government facility where Daniel and another Community Dental Health Specialist work, there is one room for dentistry. They have a modern dental chair, dental unit, and operatory light. However, the lack of supplies and repairs for equipment seriously hinders their ability to do much needed dentistry. Government support is limited for upkeep of equipment and supplies.

In Narok, Mr. Panara is the staging place for Brad's work. He keeps all communication and equipment between Brad's visits to Olmekenyu. If you need to get in tough with Brad in Kenya, start here.
