Morijo Primary School 2006

Projects

Morijo Primary School

Waving wildebeest tail whips and Maasi walking canes, the boys dance and sing to tell the story of their tribal culture.

Students of the third grade now have windows to keep out the cold.

Kindergarten students...still do not have glass window panes in their classrooms.

Fourth grade kids...some are shy around a camera!

Glori and Leslie  demonstrating the brushing and  flossing techniques. Each child was given tooth brushes, floss and toothpaste.

A presentation of gifts by the KMO team to the primary school included, pencils, crayons, paper, toys, balls, and cash (which is being counted out for the entire student body to see).

Hayden and Mary at the school while on tour given by the school principal.

We saw their gardens, bee hives, kitchen and their dormitories.
The library was in much better condition that ever before. We could see the evidence of progress at the school.
Sheila Williams and the school teacher.

John Leshoe, our host, and Dr. Bill Williams stand by the school water tanks that KMO donated to them last year.

Each year for a number of years KMO and some individuals have given special gifts to the school in Morijo to buy new windows and window panes.

The school now has electric lights for students to study at night because the solar panels donated by our USA connections and delivered to Kenya via FedEx have been installed.

Derrick and Ray look over the text books of the Masai public school.

The 10/40 Window is an area stretching from 10° to 40° north of the equator from West Africa to East Asia. Did you know that 90 percent of all unreached people groups live in this region of the world? The 10/40 Window is identified as having less than 2 percent of their populations as evangelical Christians.
