Medical / Dental Clinics Morijo 2004

The line of patients waiting at noon in Morijo

Nurse practitioner, Cheney Davis from Lawrencevile, GA and McKendree UMC was on her second KMO mission trip and here is seen organizing and triaging the medical line.

Dr. Bill Williams removes a lower molar as dentistry remains a spectator sport in Morijo.  The World Health Organization estimates that there are only 2.2 dentists per 100,000 population in Kenya. The Morijo area has no local dentists.

The 10/40 Window is an area stretching from 10° to 40° north of the equator from West Africa to East Asia. Did you know that 90 percent of all unreached people groups live in this region of the world? The 10/40 Window is identified as having less than 2 percent of their populations as evangelical Christians.
