Medical / Dental Clinics Morijo 2002

 

 

Dr. Jason Boutwell and Allison teamed up for dentistry. The World Health Organization estimates that there are only 2.2 dentists per 100,000 population in Kenya. The Morijo area has no local dentists.

Many Masai wanted severely crowded teeth removed for cosmetic purposes. Apparently, fangs and lingually inclined teeth are taboo there.

Erin at the Morijo pharmacy. We used most of the antibiotics and other medicines that we brought from the USA in the first 5 days in Olmekenyu and then Sotik. Fortunately, we were able to buy additional drugs at the pharmacy in Sotik.
